Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise and analysis in the area of Public Safety Communications (PSC) including Next Generation 911, FirstNet, and Land Mobile Radio (LMR).

  • Document current PSC capability gaps and requirements, identify potential capability alternatives to resolve mission shortfalls, and conduct/participate in appropriate business case analysis (BCA) and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) to support the development of future programs to meet warfighter and homeland defense needs.

  • Provide assessments of compliance with Department guidance, mandates, and standards; technology insertion; performance and scalability; and interoperability.

  • Develop PSC analytical products that provide detailed comprehensive overviews of associated PSC systems (including radios and waveforms) that identify critical capabilities, capability gaps, and roadmaps to guide the strategic incremental evolution and modernization of PSC capabilities within all operating environments.

  • Provide PSC support and analysis for DoD CIO representatives at various high-level forums and meetings at the OSD level that include Executive Steering Committees, Functional Capability Boards, Working Groups, and other governance requirements.

Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) modernization efforts to integrate Next Generation 911 technology,

  • OSD, Joint, Combatant Command, NATO, or Military Department staff experience.

  • Familiarity with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Public Safety Communications Information Technology Standards and Policies.

  • Knowledge of Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process, Defense Acquisition System (DAS), DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE), and other related processes within DoD.

  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI adjudicated.

Microsoft 365 Experts

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Standard Site Collection Admin duties

  • Architect DoD365 environment and solutions to facilitate efficient, structured content management.

  • Assist with organizing and managing content in accordance with Knowledge Management best practices. 

  • Gather requirements, design, build, test, debug, and document M365 custom solutions. 

  • Develop SharePoint out of the box solutions and provide technical support and training as required.

  • Automate business processes using DoD365 out of the box and Power Platform capabilities.
  • Facilitate user testing, including interviews, focus groups, and user acceptance testing.
  • Develop data models using SharePoint lists as reference tables (lookups), status trackers, etc.

  • Acts as liaison with software vendors and technical experts for problem diagnosis and resolution

 

Skills and Experience

  • Experienced in configuring and managing modern pages in SharePoint Online.

  • Experience in developing, deploying, and managing SharePoint and DoD365 solutions in DoD environment.

  • Proficient in the use of MS Teams, SharePoint Online, Power Apps, and Power Automate, and Power BI. 

  • Knowledgeable of best practices for architecting relational data models in SharePoint Online.

  • Mature communication skills both verbal and writing.

DoD CIO Combat ID/IFF SME

 

Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide Subject Mater Expertise as contractor lead for DoD CID/IFF Modernization.

  • Support development of DoD Tactical Communications Modernization Plan (TCMP), DoD C3 Modernization Plan (C3MS), and DoD Digital Modernization Plan (DMS).

  • Work with MILDEP Service representatives and Service SMEs to ensure accuracy of data entered into the DoD authoritative SharePoint-based TCMP Data Repository.

  • Provide SME support to CIO participants in the Tactical Communications Senior Steering Group (SSG) and C3 Leadership Board.

  • Support development and coordination of DoD CIO positions on technical and policy issues, helping to ensure interoperability of DoD Tactical Communications systems.

  • Provide technical support and prepare roadmaps, policy, and standards to assist government in ensuring Tactical Communications interoperability among DoD and partner nations.

  • Develop recommendations, reports, and briefing materials required to guide and inform DoD CIO C3 positions, activities, and decision.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Strong DoD Senior Staffing experience required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 - especially Teams and SharePoint Online.

  • Military Senior Staffing: 2 years (Required)

  • Combat ID or IFF systems: 2 years (Required)

  • JCIDS: 2 years (Required)

  • PPBE: 2 years (Required)

DoD CIO Qlik and Power BI Data Analyst

 

Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI
Work Location: Arlington VA
Contract Length: Solid work - have been supporting client for over 15 years. 
Education/Experience: Master’s Degree with 15 years experience or Bachelors with 17 years experience

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document existing data, data flows, data requirements, and reporting needs  

  • Work with data owners to curate data and understand what they want to know from their data 

  • Able to learn how to extract, transform, and load data from SharePoint Online using Trifacta  

  • Develop reports and dashboard using Qlik and Power BI to help with data analysis and decision-making 

  • Integrate Validation Rules into the data capture process to ensure data quality 

 

Skills and Experience

  • Experience with and knowledge of data analytics  

  • Proficient building dashboards in Qlik Sense and Power BI 

  • Proficient in Python scripting required for Databricks platform in ADVANA 

  • Experience with data storage, data management and data analytics/trend analysis 

  • 5+ years of experience in the area of data analytics 

  • Experience with DoD SATCOM and Tactical Comm data a plus  

  • Knowledge and experience creating data visualizations and dashboards
